My maternal grandfather played the game of Ulama on Sunday afternoons, in his small village "El Molino de Sataya". With only head bands and deer skin loin cloths, it is an ancient Mesoamerican ball game still played in only a few communities in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, and dates back more than 3,500 years ago.  Ulama is considered one of, if not, the oldest continuously-played sport in the world, and is also notable for the fact that it is the oldest known game utilizing a rubber ball.
